Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Question: How old do you have to be to become a member at Peak Fitness?
Answer: You must be at least 14 years old to be a member of any kind (with parents or as an individual student). In addition, all children under 16 will be required to take the U-16 Training Classes. These classes will insure that the child has an adequate base knowledge of exercise technique. They will be instructed in the proper form and execution of exercises for the upper and lower body. The classes will also cover the important of proper/healthy eating and the importance of a balanced approach to exercise.

Question: How long do I have to be a member at Peak Fitness?
Answer: We have membership options to fit most people's needs. This includes 6 month and 1 year membership agreements as well as daily, weekly and month passes. Please check with our friendly staff for current pricing and special offers.

Question: When I join Peak Fitness, do I have to pay for my membership all at once or can I pay monthly?
Answer: You may pay lump sum (cash, check, or credit card) or we can arrange monthly auto-payments with your financial institution (EFT) or through your credit card.

Question: I need to change the account from which my monthly membership fee is withdrawn. What day of the month do I need to do that by?
Answer: Due to the time needed to process our monthly transactions, we need to know about billing changes for your membership by the 19th of the month. Changes made after the 19th will not take effect until the following month.

Question: I have my membership dues automatically withdrawn from my checking account monthly. Do the automatic withdrawals stop at the end of my membership contract.
Answer: No. At the end of the term of your membership agreement (6 or 12 months), the agreement will automatically convert to a month-to-month agreement. The automatic withdrawals will continue until you advise 30 days in advance to stop.

Question: I would really like to come and workout, but I have to watch my young son.
Answer: We our proud to offer our members a supervised playroom for children 6 months to 12 years old. Due to space limitations, please check with the front desk about specific availability.

Question: I thought a friend of mine said something about playing racquetball at Peak Fitness. Do you have a racquetball court?
Answer: We have two racquetball courts available for our members.

Question: I'm not very comfortable with weights. Is there someone at Peak Fitness who can get me started?
Answer: We encourage our members to allow our knowledgeable staff to show you the proper technique for using our equipment. We also offer a free new member orientation to both show you proper technique, but also to help you set realistic goals and expectations.

Question: I lost my Peak Fitness membership ID tag, can I get a new one?
Answer: Yes. Please talk with our staff at the front desk.

Question: Do I need to make a reservation for a racquetball court?
Answer: If a court is not reserved and available you are welcome to use it. We do, however, recommend that you make reservations for the racquetball courts.

Question: I see that the Life Fitness equipment at Peak Fitness works with the Polar brand cardio transmitter. Do you know where I can purchase one of those?
